With all of the beautiful snow, we were able to go snowshoeing this week during P.E. The students had a blast trudging through the snow, observing animal tracks, and even creating a bit of art by stamping out T.E.S. on the hill. With the pending storm, we hope to get a few more days of this fun activity.

Starting Tuesday, January 20, 2026, until February 13, 2026, Temple Elementary School will be collecting new pajamas and new books for children 0-12 years of age.
Please consider helping us provide children in need with a cozy bedtime and a good night’s sleep—giving them a better start to their day.
New items can be dropped off at T.E.S. Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and for helping us support children in our communities.

Mrs. Bruns has been piloting a new language arts program this year. Students are enjoying the in-depth explorations of science-related topics and are gaining a lot from the rich nonfiction texts and extensive writing opportunities the program offers. She continues to emphasize grammar, parts of speech, and sentence structure, and students are currently focusing on irregular past-tense verbs.

We are so proud of the students and their renewed energy after the holiday break. The third-grade students are happily hard at work learning about the concept of area and how it connects to multiplication and addition. Students are discovering that the area of a shape is the amount of space it covers and that it can be measured by counting the number of square units needed to cover the shape without gaps or overlaps.
